Day Ticket

Day Ticket

Made by Shadow Break Games

Day Ticket is a carp focused fishing game for Playdate.

Choose a venue, cast your line, watch the water, and strike when the reel runs. Once hooked, each fish becomes a hands-on fight: use the crank and buttons to manage tension, give line, tire the fish, and land it without snapping.

Earn coins from catches, upgrade your tackle, and unlock tougher waters as you build your carp fishing setup. Weather, wind, lake beds, bait, and gear all affect how a session plays out.

A full playable tutorial teaches the flow step by step, from casting and striking to fighting, netting, using the tackle shop, and saving your game.

Calm, compact, and skill-based, Day Ticket is made for players who like fishing games with patience, pressure, and progression.

  • This game's developer created it without the use of generative AI.
  • We think this game is appropriate for everyone. It’s a calm fishing game with no violence, no profanity, and no explicit content. Players cast, reel, and manage fish-fight tension in a realistic but non-graphic way. The game includes optional audio cues and tutorial text to guide new players.
  • This game uses the D-pad, A and B buttons, and the crank. Core play can be done with buttons and crank. Motion controls for casting and striking are optional and are off by default. A full tutorial explains each step and can be replayed. Some parts of gameplay require timing and precision (casting sweet spot, striking bites, managing fight tension, and netting). Audio cues help but are not required to play.
