EmergencyCrank

EmergencyCrank

Made by Lucas Kundigraber

EmergencyCrank is an idle rescue game about building a tiny emergency station into a regional rescue campus, one crank at a time.

Turn the Playdate crank to earn cash, buy upgrades, hire more employees, and unlock ambulances, drones, and helicopters. Dispatch calls appear throughout the game, sending you into quick minigames that test timing, memory, D-pad inputs, and crank control.

Between rescue missions, your station keeps earning, your campus keeps growing, and the dispatch ticker rolls on with real, unusual, and funny callouts inspired by the developer's time as a volunteer paramedic in Austria.

Finish the main station upgrades to enter New Game+, spend prestige rewards on long-term bonuses, research Command Academy upgrades, collect station cosmetics, and chase achievements.

  • The developer used generative AI to create game code.
  • This game is appropriate for everyone. EmergencyCrank has a lighthearted emergency rescue theme with no graphic violence, profanity, horror, sexual content, or mature themes. Players respond to fictional rescue dispatches through simple arcade-style minigames and idle progression. Some events involve mild time pressure and references to emergencies, but the presentation is playful, abstract, and non-realistic.
  • EmergencyCrank uses the A and B buttons, the D-pad, and the crank. Core progression is based on clockwise crank rotation, but an accessibility option allows players to hold A to generate income instead. The game includes short minigames that use button timing, D-pad sequences, and crank positioning. Optional settings can slow event timing and enable easier income progression.
