We think this game is appropriate for everyone! Cars drive fast and can bonk into stuff, but there are no realistic crashes. Always drive safely in real life!
This is a precision-racer, so it's ultimately a dexterity test - but the campaign mode features a wide range of skill levels in the pre-recorded competitors that you race against, so you can complete the main campaign even if you're only so-so at this type of game (but completing the hardest challenges will probably require quite a bit of practice). By default, the game uses the D-Pad and A/B buttons to control the car, and involves holding the A button down quite a lot - however, there are some optional control schemes available which can reduce the amount of button-holding, or replace the D-Pad steering with crank-based steering, or both. The game does not feature any flashing effects during normal gameplay or menus, but one unlockable screen has some minor flashing effects - these small flashes are hidden when the system-wide "reduce flashing" setting is enabled.
