Explore the night sky on your Playdate!

What’s in the Sky? is a planetarium app that allows you to view the night sky at any location, with the positions of the sun, moon, planets, and bright stars shown in all directions.

Crank through time to view the night sky as it was, or will be, at any point in the past or future. Set your location with latitude/longitude coordinates. Consult the almanac to see the lunar phase, rise/set for the sun and moon, and more!

You can use this app as a quick reference for identifying objects in tonight's sky, planning a star party in the future, or investigating planetary alignments from ancient times.

  • Accurately renders the night sky for any place and time on Earth!
  • Includes hundreds of the brightest stars
  • Features a dynamic moon phase cycle
  • Your latitude/longitude location is saved between sessions
  • Toggle 12/24 hour time display
