Play as a young girl in a surreal dreamworld in Angel Pop; a mixed-media multidirectional bullet hell shooter with lovingly-crafted bullet patterns and setpieces designed specifically around the Playdate screen.
Inspired by doujin shooting games and classic arcade shmups, Angel Pop is a full-length arcade game which will take ~20 minutes for a single perfect playthrough, and likely several hours to clear the first time. It features continues, saves, and a training mode which lets you practice any individual stage.
Difficulty changes in real-time based on player actions.
Manipulating difficulty for both score and safety are key to mastering the game. Score big for extra lives.
